OOC DTP students engage with the National Trust

Open-Oxford-Cambridge AHRC DTP students have been taking up opportunities to engage with our strategic partner, the National Trust. These engagements have been facilitated by the University of Oxford's National Trust Partnership, which creates new opportunities for interdisciplinary research, knowledge exchange, public engagement with research and training at both institutions and beyond.

Micro-internship

In September 2020 Rebekah Hodgkinson (Oxford) completed a week-long ‘curatorial micro internship’ with the National Trust, assisting in the Trust’s ongoing research into people of colour represented in their collections. You can read her blog post about her experience, “Exploring the Black Presence in the Global History of the National Trust”, here.

Writing for Trusted Source

In October 2020 Laura Bailey (Cambridge) published an article online with ‘Trusted Source’, a knowledge bank of concise peer-reviewed articles relating to National Trust properties and collections. Laura’s article ‘Who was Gerald of Wales’ can be viewed here.
