Sarah Fengler is a DPhil student in Modern Languages at Jesus College, University of Oxford, supervised by Prof Katrin Kohl and co-funded by the Open-Oxford-Cambridge AHRC DTP and the Baillie Gifford Scholarship. She graduated from Goethe University Frankfurt (Germany) with a BA in Political Science and Scandinavian Studies and a MA in Comparative Literature, funded by the Foundation of German Business. During her undergraduate studies, she spent one semester studying at the University of Bergen (Norway) with Erasmus+, and during her masters, she was a visiting Fulbright student at the Department of Comparative Literature at Cornell University (USA). Her doctoral project focuses on European Old Testament tragedies in the Age of Enlightenment and was previously supported by scholarships from the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School of Literary Studies and from Evangelisches Studienwerk Villigst.
