I am originally from County Galway, Ireland. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in French and Italian from the National University of Ireland, Galway, in 2017. During my undergraduate studies, I also graduated from an evening diploma course in Irish language and literature, and I spent a year studying at the Université de Toulouse II - Jean Jaurès, as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
I came to Oxford in 2017 to complete my Master of Science at University College. Prior to starting my doctoral studies, I have been working at Oxford University Press, as well as a Research Assistant to Professor Peter Kemp at the Blavatnik School of Government.
I am passionate about language-learning, and I have a particular interest in minority language communities and the interplay between linguistic and cultural identities.
