Dan is researching cyberutopian and cyberlibertarian thought c.1980-2000 with the OOC DTP and Wadham College’s generous support, co-supervised by Professors David Priestland and Ralph Schroeder. The project seeks to map evolving visions of cyberspace in relation to wider libertarian, neoliberal, and anarchist ideas, exploring how these imaginaries shaped technological discourses during the 1990s Dot-Com bubble.
Dan previously read History at Pembroke College, Oxford, for his undergraduate degree, followed by a master’s in the History of Science, Medicine, and Technology at St Edmund Hall with support from the Ertegun Graduate Scholarship Programme in the Humanities. He also has a keen interest in fair access to Oxbridge and is always happy to help out with access projects.
