My Collaborative Doctoral Award (co-funded by the Open-Oxford-Cambridge AHRC DTP, the Clarendon Fund and Jesus College, Oxford) is based on the idea of Relating Romantic Disabilities. My project will be supervised by Professor Catriona Seth (All Souls), Professor Fiona Stafford (Somerville) and Jeff Cowton MBE (Wordsworth Trust). I will focus on the depiction of disabled children in French and English Romantic literature in order to assess contemporary viewpoints. In addition to this, I will work closely with Wordsworth Grasmere to help them to curate exhibits, organise events and outreach programs with local schools and make Dove Cottage more accessible to those with protected characteristics.
I studied English Literature at Royal Holloway, University of London (First Class, 2019) and I then completed my MSt in Modern Languages at the University of Oxford (Distinction, 2020) where I was awarded the Jesus College Postgraduate Humanities Scholarship.
