After having worked as an independent consultant in international development, Juliette is now pursuing a PhD in Social Anthropology at the University of Cambridge. Her research is based in Northern Colombia, and builds on previous fieldwork experience in the area. Her fieldwork is focused on the ways in which local environmental initiatives work with indigenous people. She is interested in the themes of translation, collaboration, and the environment.
This project is co-funded by the Girton College Pamela Thayer Studentship, and Juliette has Natalia Buitron as supervisor. She previously obtained a BA in Social Anthropology at the London School of Economics and Political Science and an MPhil in Development Studies at the University of Cambridge. Her previous work in development was particularly focused on health, gender, equity, and antimicrobial resistance.
