Lucy May Constantini is researching the relationship between practice and text in the South Indian martial art kaḷarippayaṟṟ. She began formalising many years of fieldwork in this area during her recent MA in South Asian Area Studies at SOAS. Previously, she worked in dance, investigating the confluence between postmodern dance, martial arts, and contemplative and yoga practices, having studied and trained at (now Trinity) Laban, RADA and King's College London. She also teaches yoga and contributes to yoga teacher training programmes.
