Patrick Allies is a DPhil student in music at the University of Oxford, with funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council. His work focuses on the choral revolution in fifteenth-century Europe and associated topics such as patronage, chapel design, acoustics and historical performance. Prior to his studies at Oxford, Patrick earned a bachelor of music degree from King's College London and master’s degrees from the Universities of Cambridge and Maryland. His research is informed by his work as artistic director of the London-based vocal ensemble Siglo de Oro with whom he has performed across the UK and Europe. He is a tutor at St Peter’s College.
