I graduated from Oriel College, Oxford, with a BA in English Language and Literature (1st class) and an MSt in English Literature, 1700-1830 (Distinction). After returning to London for a year in the corporate world, I am now undertaking a PhD project on William Blake at Queens’ College, Cambridge, supervised by Dr Sarah Haggarty.
In particular, I am interested in Blake’s use of comedy in his texts and images. My research examines moments of play as symptomatic and informative of his mythopoesis - politically, theologically, and aesthetically.
