I studied my undergraduate degree in History and Spanish at the University of Exeter, which included a year studying in Spain at the Universidad de León. Subsequently I completed a MA in History of Art at Birkbeck, which included a dissertation focusing on portraiture and old age, exploring the work of Goya. My PhD project is a collaborative doctoral award with the University of Cambridge and the National Portrait Gallery. This research will explore the work of the early seventeenth-century portrait artist, Peter Oliver.
